• Getting married is a very special and joyous event. This is the day that the two of you will make a commitment to love and honor each other and to spend the rest of your lives with each other.

   

  When you are ready to plan your special day, you must have a ceremony that is meaningful to both of you. You may choose not to have a religious ceremony. If this is the case, a Celebrant who is licensed in the State of South Carolina may perform the marriage ceremony. At Body & Soul Weddings, Barbara Radin Fox is a Doctor of Divinity as well as a Notary Public in the State of South Carolina and is available to be a Celebrant at your wedding ceremony.

   

  If you choose to have a Body & Soul Wedding, you will be able to create your own unique ceremony.

   

  There are these issues to consider:

  • Location: You may choose to have the ceremony on the beach or in a park, in a hotel or restaurant, or at your home! You can also decide whether to share your special day with just 2 close friends or relatives or 200 guests.
  • The Vows: You may want more traditional vows, but more and more, couples are choosing to write their own vows, special words that will resonate in their hearts, perhaps including a memorable poem, song or religious verse.
  • Ceremonial Flourishes: You may want to consider having as part of the ceremony a video or slide show showing your childhoods up to your recent lives together. You may also want several of the guests to be part of the ceremony, either to speak, sing, light a candle or just stand beside you and share in this very special moment.
